The film ‘Golgota’ is a story set in the imagination of an organist as he plays. In the musician’s mind a dark drama is revealed as two parallel emotional worlds unfold.
Raul Prieto Ramirez was contacted by Roman Robert, director and producer, to play the role of organist during the film. Roman chose Raul for one of the leading parts in the movie after he had been impressed by the power and emotion of his organ playing in concert. These were exactly the qualities Roman needed to cast the film, and the invitation to Raul as actor followed.
The movie will be shown at more than 300 film festivals, but you can purchase the DVD at www.golgota.eu . Here are some behind-the-scenes photographs taken during the filming of Raul’s scenes at the organ.

But can someone really play like this?
The Director of Photography asked Raul to play with the organ bench turned upside down, balanced precariously over the pedals, so that he could get a clear and unbroken view of Raul’s feet.
The brave organist accepted !!

Hard preparation for the difficult challenge

Two people have to support the whole structure to prevent Raul from falling from the upturned bench as he plays!
