'Anyone who has heard and seen Raul Prieto Ramirez perform will understand immediately why this agency was eager to represent him in North America, and how proud we are to add his name to our list of distinguished European and North American concert organists.I've worked in this field for 42 years, and believe me, performers as exciting and communicative as Raul Prieto come along very rarely.' If there is one emblematic organ in the United States it is surely the great Walcker in the Methuen memorial Music Hall. This great instrument marked the beginning of a new era in the history of music and organ-building in the Americas, being the first symphonic concert instrument that crossed the Atlantic and arrived in the new world to take its place in the Boston Music Hall. On August 26th this year (2009) Raul will offer an extraordinary and spectacular concert programme on this great instrument, including some of his transcriptions from Liszt studies and Mephisto Waltz, beside some Bach, Reger, Franck and old Spanish music.
