26th August 2009

If there is one emblematic organ in the United States it is surely the great Walcker in the Methuen memorial Music Hall. This great instrument marked the beginning of a new era in the history of music and organ-building in the Americas, being the first symphonic concert instrument that crossed the Atlantic and arrived in the new world to take its place in the Boston Music Hall. For this reason it is regarded as an icon in the art of organ-building and as a symbol of the romantic-symphonic school in the U.S.A. On August 26th this year (2009) Raul will offer an extraordinary and spectacular concert programme on this great instrument.
